A client believed there was water coming up through the basement floor, but upon closer inspection, we realized there was a pinhole leak in the supply line that led to the washing machine. It had been leaking for several days. To combat the issue, we removed all of the affected vinyl tile flooring and accessed the drywall with flood cuts so that the area could dry properly and without any mold growth. All affected areas were also treated with an antimicrobial agent and proper drying equipment setup, to not only dry the structure but to also get the high humidity under control.
